Who we are

Sha-Boom is a Swedish–Norwegian rock band that exploded onto the Scandinavian music scene in the late 1980s with their high-energy, melodic rock and unmistakable party vibe. Formed in the mid-1980s by singer Dag Finn and songwriter/bassist Peo Thyrén, the band combined glam-influenced rock with catchy pop hooks, quickly winning over a generation of fans.

Their breakthrough came with the 1988 debut album R.O.C.K., which sold over 100,000 copies and delivered hit songs like “R.O.C.K.” and “Let’s Party.” With their colorful image, infectious choruses, and relentless touring, Sha-Boom became one of the most recognizable names in the Scandinavian rock scene of the late ’80s and early ’90s.

While the lineup has evolved over the years, vocalist Dag Finn continues to carry the Sha-Boom spirit forward on stage, bringing the band’s classic hits to both loyal fans and new audiences — keeping the party alive and the rock ’n’ roll spirit burning strong.
